Budget Committee Vacancy

Vale School District is seeking to fill one vacancy on the Vale School District #84 Budget Committee. Any qualified voter of the district, except officers, agents, or employees of the District, may serve on the Budget Committee. Appointments are made by the Board of Directors and terms are three years in length. The Budget Committee typically meets one to two times each spring and approves budget estimates for the District’s educational plan.

Vale High School Principal

Vale School District #84 is inviting qualified individuals to apply for the Vale High School Principal position for the 2023-2024 school year. Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a valid Oregon TSPC Principal or Administrator license. The Vale High School Principal serves on a 218-day exempt contract, and the salary is negotiated based on experience.


Vale High School serves approximately 280 students in grades 9-12 with approximately 19 certified and 9 classified staff members. Vale High School staff members are committed to meeting the social, emotional, academic, and post-high school needs of students. This has resulted in maintaining an incredible graduation rate greater than 95% for the last three years. Vale High School has high academic expectations for students and offers a broad range of extracurricular activities, including: four highly-successful CTE programs, student clubs, and competitive athletic teams. Most of all, Vale High School staff seek to instill a sense of Viking Pride in all students, which encourages students to be positive and productive citizens and community servants, during and after high school.

Vale High School Mathematics Instructor

Vale School District #84 is inviting qualified individuals to apply for a certified high school math instructor position at Vale High School for the 2023-2024 school year. Interested applicants must possess or be able to obtain a valid Oregon Teaching License issued by Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) with a Foundational Mathematics endorsement. Vale School District #84 is inviting qualified individuals to apply to serve as 5.25 hour per day food services assistant during the 2022-2023 school year. Interested applicants must possess a current Food Handler's Card.

Bus Drivers

Vale School District #84 is inviting qualified individuals to apply for Bus Driver positions for the 2022-2023 school year. Interested applicants must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a drug test. Applicants should possess a current CDL with bus driver, air brake endorsement or be willing to train.  This position is PERS eligible. Employees who complete the contract year may also be eligible for a retention incentive in June of 2023.
